Lieutenant Holden is the Co-Pilot who is aboard the bomber in the B-17 sequence of Heavy Metal Movie.
History[]
During the 1942 Battle of Midway, Holden is assigned to the bomber Pacific Pearl, along with Captain Skip, and a crew of gunners, tasked with dropping a payload of demolition bombs on a Japanese naval convoy. The mission itself is successful, but only after the enemy takes out the rest of the crew in a hail of bullets. As Skip takes them out of the kill zone, he orders Holden to do damage control of their aircraft.
Holden tours the plane from cockpit to tail, but finds only massive body damage, and his crewmates' bodies, horribly mangled by enemy fire. Through the now broken glass of the tail gun turret, he can see a glowing green orb trailing them across the starry night sky. Alarmed, he reports this to Skip through the two-way radio. Before he can give more intelligence, the orb rams the underside of the Pearl. The hit causes a massive tremor that knocks some oxygen canisters out of their mounts. Holden is hit over the head by one and knocked unconscious, and is consequently unable to see the effects the Loc-Nar's evil power has on the dead surrounding him.
Holden is soon roused by Skip's voice through the radio. Groggily heading back to the cockpit, he is puzzled to find the dead waist gunners now missing from the cabin. As he searches for them, he bumps into the entrance to the ball turret. He opens the hatch - only to get pulled in and viciously torn to shreds by a now zombified Nelson, leaving only one survivor at the mercy of the undead crew lurking about the Pacific Pearl.
Character[]
Lieutenant Holden is a young, Caucasian male. Like his superior, Skip, he is tall and slender, but not as muscular. He has sandy brown hair, hazel eyes, and wears a khaki shirt and tie under his flight uniform, as well as the standard issue parachute harness. To combat the cold environment of the sky, he wears leather gloves and sheepskin boots.

- It is believed that the zombies' bite spreads the curse. Holden might be one of the undead crewmen that come after Skip.
